Maggie Jane Minty’s third book, ‘Glowing Embers’ was released in 1969 and contained over 150 new poems. A Press and Journal Article from 1968 discusses the new book and, perhaps reflective of the era, talks about Mrs Minty getting up at 4.30am to write poetry and not “so that she can have an early crack at the housework”.
