Within the archive section of this project (which can be found here) a number of the films of Jim Taylor have accompanying audio files (signified with a 🎤) in which he reminisces about meeting the people featured in his films. As a result of his genuine interest in the lives of the people he interviewed, he made many friends with people in the North East, as well as areas further afield, and these relationships come across in the warmth in which he recounts the people he met and also the amount of information the subjects of his films were willing to share.

Jim Taylor talks bout going to the home of Leebie Downie and husband, Willie ‘Clavie’ Downie and how he knew Lebby as a child in Rosehearty
