Greta (1997)
Sadly, an extended bout of illness placed a hold on James Duthie’s career as a writer. After a period of personal conflict between health and creativity, James Duthie returned in 1997 with the play ‘Greta’ in 1997. As with his other plays, the production again dealt with themes of conflict and the human condition, told within the framing of a black comedy. The play was shown at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh and starred Louise Ludgate and the late Russell Hunter.
