The amazing film below shows the excited crowds gathered on Mid Street for the arrival of Santa in late 1930s. Benzie and Miller’s was a favourite place to visit at Christmas with children being taken on a journey through the shop on the likes of submarines and spaceships to meet Santa. The film shows the store after its extension which began to take shape in 1934.
