During the war effort, many people from Fraserburgh bravely risked their lives as part of fishing fleets and of the armed forces. The articles featured here mention Alex Crawford and Fred Milne of the town almost being struck by German bombers in Norway, while the other mentions Sgt. A Watt’s involvement in the sinking of the Tirpitz. The film featured here, shot by Jim Taylor, is a clip of an interview with Flight Lieutenant J Buchan recounting his time spent in the RAF and being locked in aerial combat with the German Luftwaffe.
