Tae mac sicker abody in i’ toon aheed o a possible invasion, a division o i’ hame guard wis set up bi’ Major Charles Fraser, a WWI sodger fa wis gien i’ military cross fur bravery. Fan in his 90’s, Major Fraser wis interviewed bi’ Jim Taylor an recoonted his time in i’ Hame Guard durin i’ waar. Major Fraser hid an interest in amateur dramatics an pit on plays tae entertain an educate fowk in i’ toon durin i’ waar years an efter i’ waar, in i’ 1950’s, he wis foremaist in setting up, alang wi ithers, Fraserburgh  Junior Arts Society.
