“I was a member of the school choir which sang at the opening of the academy by Princess Margaret. As I recall, we sang “With a Voice of Singing.” We has also rehearsed the second verse of the National Anthem only to be told that it could only be sung in the presence of the Queen. Seeing Anthony Armstrong Jones wearing make up was a surprise to me and my pals.”
