Fraserburgh Air Training Corps WWII
Year: 1942 or 1943?
Duration: 1:24
Filmed By: JB McDonald
Fraserburgh Air Training Corps in the playground of the Central School during WWII. This film was shot by JB McDonald who was integral in starting the the Air Training Corps (ATC) in Fraserburgh during WWII. This video was shot as a means of recruiting people boys to join the ATC and was interestingly shot on colour film despite there being a known shortage in the UK during this era.
The black and white clip seen here is believed to be part of the same film but was digitised at a different time and on different equipment, explaining the variation in colour. It is unknown whether a full length colour digitised clip exists of this particular film.
