About the project.

Fraserburgh on Film offers a unique glimpse in to the past by bringing together a series of films shot by residents of the town and its surrounding areas. The project aims to provide a place for people to learn, reminisce and reflect through the collation of films and other audio visual materials. The voices and images contained within, tell the stories from the North East in the very words spoken, and images created, by the people who lived and worked in the area over the years.

You are invited to explore but also to contribute. Your words and memories are welcomed and you are encouraged to provide any further information and to add your part to the stories seen here.

We also accept donations of films featuring Fraserburgh and the surrounding areas to help build the archive, all formats are accepted. Films will be digitised free of charge and given back to the donor and upon agreement, any relevant material will be added to the archive to expand upon the story of Fraserburgh and the North East corner.

More information about contributing to the project can be found here.
